Alphabet

Alphabet -The group of vowels and consonants individually is called the alphabet.

Or

Vowels (स्वर) और consonants (व्यंजन) का एक-एक का विशिष्ट समूह alphabet कहलाता है।

1. Vowels (स्वर)- a e i o u 
2. Consonants(व्यंजन)- b c d f g h j k ......... z

Alphabet examples

Word

The group of the alphabet which has meaning is called word.

Or

Alphabet का एक ऐसा समूह जिसका कोई अर्थ है उसे word या शब्द कहते हैं।

e.g. 

1. Ram, 
2. go, 
3. come,
4. do, 
5. play.

Sentence

Sentence- The group of words that should have a complete sense is called a sentence. 

Or

Words (शब्दों) का एक ऐसा समूह जिसका पूर्ण अर्थ या सार होना चाहिए। ऐसे समूह को sentence (वाक्य) कहते हैं।

e.g. 

1. Ram goes to the market.

Ram- subject

Goes- verb

To- preposition

The- article

Market- object

Subjects(S): I, you, they, he, she, it, Ram, Deepak, Satish, Gita, Ramesh, etc. जो भी शब्द कर्ता(कार्य करने वाला )है। 

Like: Rahul has played well.

Helping Verb(H.V): Is, am, are, has, have, do, does, had, will, shall, may, might, should, would, could, can, must etc. जो भी शब्द sentence का सही sense बनाने में सहयोग के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है।

Like: Ramu can drive a car.

Main Verb(M.V): Go, come, do, play, sit, work, bring, write, drive, make, sell, buy, div, stand, understand, become, ask, repeat, perform, arrive, pray, defeat, win, grow, wing, ring etc जो शब्द किसी कार्य होने का बोध कराता है।

Like: She goes to market.

Preposition: To, from, in, up, down, between, among, below, over, far, near, beneath, into, upon, under, beside, besides, on, at, since, for etc. जो शब्द कर्ता (sub) और कर्म (ob) को जोड़ने में सहयोग करता है।

Like: they are going to village.

Object(O): me, you, her, him, Ram, Satish, them, it etc. जो शब्द कर्म(जिस पर कार्य किया जाता है) के रूप में प्रयोग किया जाता है।

Like: You have disturbed ram

There are 6 types of sentences

1- Simple - (साधारण) 

Formula - subject + helping verb +  main verb + object

E.g.

1. Sita pays for video games. सीता वीडियो गेम के लिए खर्च करती है।
2. Ankita has left her job. अंकित ने जॉब छोड़ दी है।
3. Suresh is studying maths. सुरेश गणित पढ़ रहा है।
4. I'm a doctor. मैं एक डॉक्टर हूँ।

2- Interrogative

Formula - helping verb + subject + main verb + object + ?

E.g

1. Are you doing your job? क्या तुम अपनी नौकरी कर रहे हो?
2. Have you gone to school? क्या तुम स्कूल चले गए हो?
3. Shall they work together? क्या वे एक साथ काम करेंगे?
4. Is it your studies book? क्या यह तुम्हारी पढ़ाई की किताब है?

3- Imperative/command

Three parts of Imperative sentence are-

1- Order-

Formula - Main verb + object

E.g.

1. Go out. बाहर जाओ।
2. Get me a glass of water. मुझे एक गिलास पानी दो।
3. Bring me some fruit. मुझे फल लाओ।
4. Send me your papers. अपने पेपर मुझे भेजो।

2- Request-

Formula- please/kindly + main verb +object.

1. Please go out. कृपया जाओ।
2. Kindly bring me a glass of water. कृपया मुझे एक गिलास पानी दो।
3. Please tell me the correct answer. कृपया सही जबाब बताओ।

3- Advice-

Formula- subject +helping verb + main verb + object

E.g.

1. You should stay here. तुम्हें यहां रुकना चाहिए।
2. They must believe in god. उन्हें भगवान पर भरोसा करना चाहिए।
3. You should take care of your health. तुम्हें अपने स्वास्थ्य का ध्यान रखना चाहिए।
4. He should try to understand.उन्ही समझने का प्रयास करना चाहिए।

4- Exclamatory

Formula+ Exclamation + ! + adjective + object

E.g.

1. Wow! what a scene. वाह! क्या नजारा है।
2. Hurrah! how beautifully we won.  वाह वाह! हम कितनी खुबशुरती से जीते।
3. Ugh! how hot this is.ओहो।। कितनी गर्मी है।
4. Alas! she is ill. अरे! वह बीमार है।
5. Amazing! you solved the problem. आश्चर्य! तुमने समस्या सुलझा दी।

5- Optative

Formula- wish+ subject+main verb + object

1. May God bless you.भगवान आपका भला करे।
2. May you live long. जियो हजारों साल।
3. Wish you a happy birthday. जन्मदिन की शुभकामनाएं।
4. Wish you a beautiful marriage anniversary. शादी के सालगिरह की शुभकामनाएं।

6- Question word

Formula- Qw + helping verb + subject + main verb + object + ?

E.g.

1. What do you do? तुम क्या करते हो?
2. How is everything there? वहां पर सबकुछ कैसा है?
3. Where do you live? तुम कहाँ रहते हो?
4. When will you come back? वापस कब आओगे?
5. Who is playing here? यहां कोंन खेल रहा?
6. How have you been there? वहां कैसा रहा?

Types of Sentence used in the tense

1. Simple साधारण
2. Interrogative प्रश्न हाँ/ना के लिए।
3. Question word प्रश्न विस्तृत जवाब के लिए 

because they are having three forms of sentences that are used with verbs, and each of them is holding the tense pattern. and they can be written negatively too.

(1)

Simple- I go to the village. मैं गांव जाता हूँ।

Negative- I don't go to the village. मैं गांव नहीं जाता हूं।

(2)

Interrogative- Do you go to the village? क्या तुम गांव जाते हो?

Negative- Don't you go to the village? क्या तुम गांव नहीं  जाते  हो? 

(3)

Question word- When do you go to the village? तुम गांव कब जाते हो?

Negative- When don't you go to the village? तुम गांव कब नहीँ जाते हो?

They are very mutual sense types of sentences that are used in every conversation, asking the question, agreeing, and disagreeing, stating the opinion of individuals.

Simple

रवि से मैंने एक पेंसिल ली।

I borrowed a pencil from Ravi.

तुमने मुझे एक किताब दी।                      

 You lend me a book.

वह कक्षा में सो रहा था इसलिए उसने कुछ नहीं सुना। - 

He was sleeping in class so he didn't listen anything

मैं आपको एक तरीका बता सकता हूँ।

I can tell you a trick.

मेरे ममेरे भाई ने सब प्रश्न हल कर दिये थे।

My maternal uncle had solved all the questions.

तुम्हें इतना बुरा क्यूँ लगा।

Why did you feel so bad?

Command

कुछ मत कहना।    

Don't say anything

शांत रहो।    

Be calm. 

Or Be silent.

उनके लिए समय दो।   

Give time to them.

आज मैं तुम से बात नही करूंगा। 

I'll not talk to you today.

सबको मुझ पर सक हो रहा है।  

I'm suspicious to everyone. 

Complex

गलती से मैं तुम्हें पहचान नहीं पाया।   

I couldn't recognize you by the mistake.

पता नहीं उसने ऐसा क्यूँ किया।   

I don't know why he did so.

मैंने सोच कर देख लिया सब कुछ ठीक है।  

I've seen thoughtfully everything is alright.

दादा जी के होते हुये तुमने बिना पूछे खाना कैसे खा लिया?

How did you take food without advice inspite of Grand father's presence.

Interrogative

आज सबलोग खाना बनाना भूल गए?  

Did everyone forget to cook food today?

तुम आ गए हो?  

Have you come?

तुमने तूफान देखा?

सुना तुमने?

तुम परेशान क्यूँ हो?

वह जिद क्यूँ कर रहा है?
