What is Pronoun?

 

The Pronouns









A word that is used in place of subject and object. 

1- Personal pronoun-
A word that is used in place of a personal noun. He, she, it, his, him, me, they, their, us, we, our, etc.

for example- 
1- He goes to the market. 
2- I've received my certificate.
3- She has complete your work.

2- Reflexive pronoun-
When self is added to- my, him, them, your, our, it, etc.

for example -
1- You go market yourself and bring all neccessary items.
2- she plays games herself
3- I'll ask him myself.



3- Demonstrative pronoun-
This, that, these, those, are called demonstrative.

for example-
1- That's my pen.
2- This is a file.
3- Those are my old works.

4- Distributive Pronoun-
Either, neither, each of, every, each other, one another are used to express.


for example-
1- Either of you can grab the moment. 
2- Either will be asked soon so you both wait outside. 
3- Neither plays cricket. Why didn't you both apply?
4- Neither of you can grab their attention. 
5- Each of you is successful in the exam.
6- Everyone can participate in annual function.


5- Relative pronoun-
A word that expresses the relation between two sentences in place of a noun. which, that, who, what, etc

for example
1- This is the kite that Ram flies in the sky since last year in the program. 
2- these are the pens which I used in my studies of all my chapters honestly. 
3- They are the people who lost their luggage 2 hours ago.

6- Indefinite pronoun-
Those pronouns, which show the uncertain number of doers. such as some, many, few, all, little, etc. 

for example
1- Some of the boys stopped the game.
2- All of the students have finished their exams.
3- Few of the children wrote a letter.

7- Interrogative pronoun-
Asking question pronouns are called an interrogative pronoun. like who, which, whom, what, where, when, etc.

1- Who is asking questions there?
2- When were you coming?
3- Whom are you asking this question to?
4- Where do you live?

8- Reciprocal
A reciprocal pronoun is that when sth or sb are doing the action in a reciprocal relationship.  like each other and one another.


For example
1- An egret and a buffalo are helpful to each other when an egret eats lice and buffalo feels at ease.
2- Raj and Ranjeet gave gifts to each other on their birthdays.
3- Two students are helping each other. 
4- Students are supporting one another.


9- Emphatic
A pronoun that is used to emphasize another pronoun or noun by using self just after subject. like myself, yourself, himself 

For example
1- I myself will go there.
2- You yourself finish this job.
3- He himself will complete his task.
